A concrete slab, block walls, impact windows, and spray foam in the roof, the front wall and the garage.

A single-story Meritage Homes Onyx, completed in 2025. The section below cuts across the house from the slab to the roof, one layer at a time, in the order the house went up.

Section A-A: a schematic section through 5680 Hampton Park Circle, a single-story Meritage Homes Onyx, not to scale.A cut across the house from one exterior wall to the other. The concrete slab sits at grade. Concrete block walls rise from the slab, finished in stucco outside; the left wall is cut through an impact window. Roof trusses sit on the top of the block walls and carry the roof deck and a composition shingle roof. Spray foam insulation, shown in yellow, is applied to the underside of the roof deck, so the attic is inside the insulated envelope.
